and co-authored papers on a wide variety of topics.

- Honorary membership in the Society of Exploration
Geophysics for his significant contribution to geophysics
in 1978
- Awarded an honorary doctorate for his contributions
to geophysics and geophysical education in Turkey from
the Technical University of Istanbul. 1991
